In this year’s most futuristic office design exhibition area, the seating brand Sitland (Hall 2, Booth No. W162), a long-time participant at the Milan Furniture Fair (Salone del Mobile) in Italy, will make its debut at Design Shanghai 2020 on November 26-29 to introduce its purely Italian elegant high-end office lifestyle to a Chinese audience. MIG Group will present itself with its four major brands: sitland, SINETICA, Jesse, and Rotaliana, which between them cover upholstered furniture, offices, high-end residential and design lighting, with solutions for different functional areas such as innovative designs for lighting and walls. “smart your life” could be the beginning of your Italian-style office transformation.

The company was founded in 1977 in Vicenza, Veneto, Italy, a region famous around the world for its history, art, architecture and luxury goods. Sitland is one of the early manufacturers of high-end Seating for public and office spaces. It has won international top design prizes such as the Red Dot Award of Germany and a Certificate of Excellence issued by the General Confederation of Italian Industry.

Relying on its excellent quality, dedicated craftsmanship, in-depth research and a strong innovative design team, Sitland has passed TUV, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications, and its business footprint covers 81 countries and regions including the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East. In 2019, Mei YI Gao（MIG China）was established to serve customers in Greater China.

The Italian luxury brand Sitland still produces all of its products in Vicenza, Italy. Since its establishment in 1977, Sitland has evolved from a manufacturer of train chairs and hair salon chairs to a trailblazing developer of ergonomic office chairs made of the world's top fabrics in combination with unique traditional craftsmanship. Leather is an important element in the Sitland brand culture. The most valuable top-layer hides from the bespoke Italian cowhide brand DANI are selected for their natural and full texture, durability, elegance, sophisticated touch, and outstanding quality.

At that time, its name was "Tappezzeria Veneta". Located in Vicenza it supplied upholstered chairs with armrests for trains.

In 1987, it started production of office chairs.

In 1990, its first export license was granted by the Italian Chamber of Commerce.

In 1996, Tappezzeria Veneta officially changed its name to Sitland, and launched its trailblazing ergonomic chair Ouverture.

In 2003, its modular creative sofa Path won the Red Dot Best Design Award.

In 2006, Sitland won a Certificate of Excellence from the General Confederation of Italian Industry.

In 2008, Sitland began production of seats for cinemas and theaters.

In 2016, Use Me, a foldable height-adjustable table, won two international heavyweight awards, the Excellent Design Award and Red Dot Best Product Design Award, beating 5200+ projects from 57 countries.

On 5 April 2018, Sitland was acquired by MIG Investment Group.

In 2019, the Cell Collection and On Collection each won an Excellent Design Award, the famous industrial design award jointly launched and annually bestowed by The Chicago Athenaeum (museum of architecture and design) and the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

In his designs, male hormones are balanced with feminine gentleness, rich fabrics interact with modern minimalism, and romance and luxury complement each other. He uses smart and innovative ways to give new interpretations to spaces.

Born in Treviso, Italy in 1953.In 1975, he started out in the furniture industry in branding and product design roles. Since 1977 he has been an active part of the Signomega studio and works closely with Bruno Maria Fracarossi in the “total design” experience for the “Seabuggy” projects (selected for the Golden Compass in 1979) and “Quartz” (kitchen covered in tempered glass: 1982).

As a member of ADI, IIDD (Italian Institute for Design and Disability), Dorigo has a wealth of design experience in the office, entertainment, education and various fields. He has founded a major in applied design at the Wood Industry Institute of University f Padua. From his studio in Italy he serves customers all over Europe and America.

The light and simple design of the Milos Collection chair created by Dorigo features a firm and stable internal steel structure (the armrest can be fitted with a writing board) that offers a wide seat and comfortable experience, plus a refined and user-friendly automatic swivel-back mechanism. This streamlined sofa with a high design factor features a high back and noise reduction and sound insulation functions.
